CHICOS.NET AND SAVE THE CHILDREN ANNOUNCE WINNERS OF ZOOM TO YOUR RIGHTS 2024 CONTEST

More than 800 videos, digital illustrations and mini podcasts were created by children and adolescents from Latin America and the Caribbean for the 2024 edition, a record number of participants in the contest. The topics addressed reflect the concerns and interest of children and youth in our region: Internet violence 28.8%, how social networks work 10.7%, influencers 8.2%, disinformation and fake news 7.6%, artificial intelligence 7.4%, social networks and democracy 5.9%.

Rotimy Djossaya, Save the Children’s Global Director of Impact and Influence, was one of the jurors in this 2024 edition, expressing “that we can all work together to make the world a safer and more equal place to live, in all our diversity. I believe they have the power to transform the world. We all need to work with the children to make it happen.”

For 7 years, the zoom to your rights contest has encouraged more than 10,000 children and adolescents from 15 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean to raise their voices on the climate crisis, migration, racial equity and the protection of their rights in virtual environments through more than 2,500 productions.
