Save the Children and Chicos.net award the best videos of the “Zoom to your rights” contest.

More than 800 children and adolescents from Latin America and the Caribbean participated in the Zoom on your Rights contest. They made 135 videos with themes that included the right to a life free of violence linked to institutional violence, violence in the streets, domestic violence, sexual harassment and bullying (23%), the right to a healthy environment (21%) and the right to education (16%), among others.

In the framework of the Universal Day of Children’s Rights, the video Marcas en la Piel (Skin Marks) was awarded first place and second place to the video No al Acoso Sexual (No to Sexual Harassment).  The jury decided to award three special mentions: one for the school and/or community project La Casa de Desarrollo Artístico (The House of Artistic Development), for the creativity of the audiovisual production with the video Vivir en mejores condiciones (no somos basura) (Living in better conditions, we are not garbage) and for the approach to the theme of the video Juntos Avanzamos ( ogether we move forward).

This year the contest received greater outreach thanks to the support of PASC’s partner organizations, Save the Children’s country offices in Latin America, with the support of Tik Tok and the Secretariat of Human Rights and Cultural Pluralism of the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
