Positive discipline is a challenge, especially in contexts of migration and human mobility. For this reason, Save the Children and Paz y Esperanza, together with visual artist Edgar Álvarez from Se lo explico con Plastilina, created two videos to make the needs of migrant children visible and provide resources to support their development.

“We promote positive discipline as a form of respectful parenting based on long-term goals. We want this tool to reach fathers, mothers and caregivers, but also those who support migrant families and can implement it, to accompany the growth of their children in a framework of affection, respect and understanding of child development” said Germán Vargas, Advocacy Director of Paz y Esperanza.

These videos present recommendations for the States, civil society organizations and grassroots organizations in the implementation of positive parenting for families on the move. These will promote the consolidation of a positive parenting environment for children in Latin America.
