Convention on the Rights of the Child

Children and adolescents are persons with rights and responsibilities and should be respected as such. The Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) is an international treaty approved by the United Nations on November 20, 1989 and ratified by Peru on September 4, 1990. It is the most ratified treaty in the world. This treaty (law) outlines all the rights that correspond to children and adolescents and establishes the obligations of governments to guarantee, respect and protect these rights.
